Back in the early 1960’s before there was such a thing as high gain, the Dallas Rangemaster Treble Booster was the secret weapon that Eric Clapton, Tony Iomi, and many others used to turbo charge their sound. Fast-forward forty years, apply modern engineering, add a few new features and you have our interpretation of a classic we call the Rangemax.
This is a high gain, clean booster plus a three position equalizer switch, some drive adjustments, and true bypass. We build them with top quality components and each one is hand wired. This booster increases the gain without coloring the sound of your guitar or amp. Connect your guitar directly to the Rangemax for normal use, or use it at the end of your pedal board to restore lost gain and focus. Long output cables are no problem for the Rangemax, because it’s built-in low impedance output driver delivers full signal bandwidth.
Treble Boost delivers a sharper, more defined tone. With high gain amps it will increase the punch without the bottom getting muddy. Notes pop off the fretboard and as the volume is turned up you get a musical top end sizzle.
Full Range Boost will provide flat frequency response. Use this setting to fatten up a single coil pickup or make a Marshall have the full bottom sound of a Mesa.
Mid Boost is full range with a slight reduction in high frequency response. Use this setting to tame a guitar that has a very brite top end.

When the Rangemax is disengaged, it can be a real tone buzz-kill, so in an effort to never be caught in this situation we built a two channel version. This is two units in one pedal with a single input, a single output, and two foot switches. One switch selects which channel is active, the other turns the pedal on & off with true bypass. Circuitry and construction is the same as the single channel Rangemax except that it has more Grit saturation available in the red channel for scorching lead tone. Power pack included with unit.
